-Thank you to everyone who has written, emailed, and otherwise contacted us to send us blankies or to request a Hostess Packet.  If you have not yet received your packet, please recontact us; we have been having troubles with damaged envelopes and missing mail, and we have to report it to the Post Office here.

 

Exciting news! 

-Our myspace page has 230 members as of August 4th!  Thank you for sharing about our cause and your interest!

 

-The Mountain Babes of Pleasant Valley, a Red Hatters Chapter, threw a blankie party in July.  Their blankies will be given to the organization of their choice.  Thank you, Ladies, for your big hearts!!! (http://www.mountainbabesofpleasantvalley.com/index.html)

 

-We have sent a package of blankies to help Iraqi mothers who have been displaced to Jordan.  Thank you to everyone who helped collect or make blankies!

 

-In the search to find someone to send the blankies to Myanmar, we found instead a missions organization that can use blankies throughout different countries in Africa and Asia.  We are hoping to send a package to them later this summer.  If you would be interested in sending blankies as well, please let us know.

 

 

The position for Chapter Manager has been filled temporarily.  So we still need someone to work with her as an assistant, with the intent to take over as Chapter Manager next fall. If you are interested and can devote five hours a month to answering emails and light clerical duties, please contact us.  This is a volunteer position.  Mahalo!

 

We now have Hostess's in twelve different States!  Thank you Ladies for your interest and excitement!  We look forward to hearing (and maybe seeing) the results from your parties!

 

Also, Ladies!!!  When you schedule your party, remember to contact us, and then to send us your guest list.  This is imperative for accurate records.  Plus, if you have any photos of your party, and your guests don't mind, please include them in your email or letter so we can share them with our readers!

-Soon, we will be adding a new page with directions on how to make more no-sew blankies, as well as directions on how to make other kinds of blankies for those who have access to sewing machines or have been crafting for a while.  So come on back!

-Hostess Packets are on hold indefinitely until we can find out why so many of you aren't receiving them.  We are working closely with our local Post Office to fix the situation.  Our deepest apologies for your wait.  However, if you have an email address and a printer, we could email you most of what is in the Hostess Packet.   Thank you for your understanding.
